We recorded Busy Being Born in our bedrooms during the summer and fall of 2007, when we were still working under the name Fireworks. It represents our first serious attempt at writing and recording a complete, cohesive album. Dominated by themes of loss, change, and hope, it lies somewhere in the space between folk, rock, blues, and pop, where lo-fi fingerpicking coexists with crashing, multitracked guitars. While it was a rewarding experience, and we like it, don't expect another full album from us any time in the near future.
